I agree that Google is making us stupid. Google is making us stupid because it makes it so we don’t have to research or learn anything to understand something. Google allows us to just search for key words and we get the answer we are looking for. As the author stated in the article, the internet makes us unable to read in depth and stay focused is exactly what happened to me. I can’t focus enough now to read more than 8 pages at a time without getting completely distracted. Before the internet I could read a whole book in a weekend, and now I would be lucky if I could finish a book in a month without getting bored and just “googling” what the book is about. I couldn’t even stay focused enough to read all of this nine page paper. Will the internet as vast as it is it does all of the work that we used to have to do on our own. You can type in a key word or a phrase and it will give you thousands of results relating to that topic. The only example that I can think of that Google is actually helping us is because it gives us so much information. This limits the amount of useless searching for information in libraries, and can make us more productive by being more time efficient.
